Free standing basin
You produce the measurements and we’ll produce the basin!
All basins are made on the potter’s wheel from a very high quality clay. Each piece is fired up to 1260oC making it extremely durable, as effectively it has been turned to stone (hence, stoneware). The basins will not chip easily and are as hardy as any other porcelain basin that you might buy. All basins have built-in waste pipes and overflows, and come with stainless steel plugs, so all you need to do is slot them into position and connect them up with the plumbing.
The basins that you can order online come in two sizes and styles. If you want a different size you will need to contact us direct.
Free standing
These sit on top of the work surface, almost like a bowl -- see sample illustration right. We can make these to the size you want, but the most common sizes are cloakroom sized hand basins (33cm diameter across the top with a 30cm diameter mount) or bathroom basins (37.5cm diameter across the top by 35cm diameter mount).
Sunken
These sit within the work top -- see sample illustration right. Again we can make these to the size you want but the most common sizes are cloakroom or bathroom sized, as with the free standing basins. You choose the work surface of your choice and let us know the dimensions you want your sink to be. We produce the sink and once it is delivered the hole should be cut to size in the surface, and the sink connected up.
Sunken hand basins can come complete with beech tops with towel rails. These units are easily bolted into the wall. Please note that these currently only come in cloakroom size.
Please note: due to the nature of the firing process, although we can make sinks to size, this size cannot be guaranteed to be exact, which is why we always suggest that you cut the hole in your chosen surface after delivery.
Taps do not come with the basins, the taps in the pictures are for illustration purposes only.
